Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is a market-leading Japanese Electrical & Electronics manufacturing company that acts as the APAC HQ. They that specializes in Industrial Automation and has a stable and strong stance in the market after being established in Singapore in 1999. They are now looking for an experienced individual to join their team as a Head of Sales - APAC, dealing with countries such as Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand.

The Responsibilities:

* Report to the General Manager directly
* Lead, mentor & drive the sales team to help them to achieve sales targets. Participate in key customers visits and strategic projects & negotiations
* Develop a strong short-term and long-term sales plan and strategy to achieve business objectives, profit, and market growth
* Communicate, drive & measure the sales plan
* Develop a strong & positive relationship with channels & end user, gaining an understanding of their requirements, challenges / roadblocks, and strategic direction
* Identify opportunities & create sales strategies to maximize revenue and profit
* Drive & mentor the sales team in generating & closing new business opportunities
* Set the sales team KPI on annual basis & conduct evaluations (twice a year)
* Expand, when needed, the distribution / SI network
* Perform Market Survey & Analysis and adapting the sales & marketing strategy accordingly
* Prepare Monthly Sales Report & lead the Distributor Annual Event
* Maintain competitive intelligence & feed the product managers with new products development ideas
* Share customers comments to its sales management and escalade any issue

The Requirements:

* Minimum Degree with 4 years Sales experience dealing with Industrial Automation Industry with general management experience
* Minimum 3 years of regional sales experience ideally within APAC region
* Excellent knowledge of business development
* Self-motivated individual with a number-driven mindset
* Ability to develop sales plans and forecasts
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, equipped with professional presentation skills
* Strong ability to coordinate multiple projects and to collaborate well with other team members
* Possess technical aptitude & the ability to understand and communicate technical information
* Good attention to detail and strong follow-up skills
* Ability to analyse sales results, interpret data, and prepare corrective actions based upon data
* PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Experience with Salesforce.com is desired but not mandatory
* Travelling overseas as and when required
