Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is a global leader in energy logistics solutions delivering high quality ocean transportation and specialist petroleum services to energy industries, refineries, and trading house. They are actively looking to hire a Senior Executive for Strategy and Planning to develop strategic insights and business strategies for business improvement and transformation.

The Responsibilities:

* Handle business intelligence research, maintenance of data and information in database for the purpose of modelling and projections to develop strategic insights and strategies
* Collate data and information of industry, competitors, and customer's information in database
* Perform analysis, produce insights on industry trends, market development, new innovations, competitor's activities as well as customer trends
* Preparation of report on regular and ad-hoc basis
* Assist in facilitation of strategies making process as well as workshops to enhance business position
* Identify and assess key market insights, issues, trends, threats, and opportunities
* Conduct SWOT analysis, client mapping
* Establish strategic direction and objectives in the short, medium, and long-term
* Facilitate strategic discussion and strategy formulation by using tools and methodologies such as portfolio and scenario planning
* Screening organic and inorganic growth, screening and analyzing opportunities
* Development of strategies to achieve commercial success including new business acquisition as well as customer retention
* Development of tangible and actionable targets linked to annual budget/targets to bridge the gap between strategy and execution
* Measurement of strategy implementation by monitoring performance against plans at frequent intervals
* Assist in review and reporting of balanced scorecard (BSC) to monitor business performance and drive overall results focused execution
* Conduct financial valuation on new business opportunities
* Participate and support corporate projects and initiatives as and when required

The Requirements:

* Minimum Degree in Business/ Economics/ Law/ Finance and other related disciplines
* Preferably with certification in CPA/ CIMA/ ACCA
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Corporate Planning/Research/Strategic/Finance/Commercial in Logistic/Shipping/Transportation Industry
* Knowledge in corporate planning process, strategy tools, performance management tools (BSC)
* Ability to develop business case and financial modelling
