Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is a leading global quantitative trading company based in Chicago, Austin & Amsterdam. The business develops and implements quantitative trading strategies in exchange-traded financial products, trading exclusively for its own account. The company trades in a variety of asset classes, markets and geographies.

The Responsibilities:

* Responsible for all technical infrastructure, from latency optimized systems that execute trades at financial exchanges around the world to massive computing clusters used for quantitative research. This is a unique opportunity to make a large impact at a world class financial technology firm on the cutting edge

The Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in a Technology related field is preferred
* At least 5 years or more experience
* Extensive experience in managing Linux systems at a large scale with open-source software
* Proficient in at least one major configuration management system, such as Ansible, Chef, Salt
* Expertise in scripting in Python or shell
* Detail understating of computer hardware, Linux kernel configuration and tuning,
* Experience in performance characteristics of DRAM, SSDs and HDDs
* Willing to work on rotation shift days
* Comfortable working in a very fast-paced environment
