Job Description
Our Client:
Our client is one of the largest producers of industrial gas globally, with products used in a wide range of industries.
With the expansion in business, they are looking to hire a Senior Technical Engineer to provide technical support to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
The Responsibilities:
* Perform technical feasibility studies and process review, analyze trends and provide technical support to ensure optimal plant operations
* Ownership of assigned plant area in technical matters (e.g. performance, efficiency, reliability)
* Work closely with maintenance and operation team to improve plant availability, troubleshooting of equipment and process
* Provide expertise on operating parameters to the operation team to optimize operation, taking into consideration demand, plant constraints and sustainability
* Act as technical lead in plant reliability and productivity improvement projects
* Prepare justifications for investments with cost benefits/ savings for improvement projects
* Act as technical lead in plant shutdown, startup and commissioning activities as needed
* Provide support for plant turnaround planning, carry out work packages supervision and QA as and when required
* Review and improve critical operation process
* Work closely with global support functions to evaluate and implement best practices
The Requirements:
* Degree in Chemical/ Mechanical/ Material Engineering and other related discipline
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Petrochemical/ Industrial Gas/ Refinery/ Pharma Industry
* Good knowledge of industrial standards and codes for Process Plants
* Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
* Candidate with commercial awareness and process modelling skills will be an added advantage
