Job Description

Our Client:
Our client is a trading company dealing in commodity plastics, engineering plastics, electronic materials, medical & healthcare products. They are actively looking for a passionate individual to join their team in Singapore as an Assistant Sales Manager for their Plastics Division.

The Responsibilities:

* Manage and develop business to expand customer base
* Sourcing of new business opportunities - customers/materials
* Analyze the market environment and infiltrate new market/industries
* Build strong long-term relationships with existing and potential business partners and attend to customer's needs/requirements closely
* Achieve set target for KPI and Team Target
* Liaise and market sharing with external stakeholders
* Manage and develop the Sales Team in the needed areas
* Develop business plan to meet sales targets and expense controls

The Requirements:

* Minimum Diploma/Bachelor's Degree holder in Chemistry / Material Science / Polymer Science with relevant working experience in the Chemical industry
* Minimum 4 years of relevant Sales experience
* Good team player and able to work independently
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Possess SAP knowledge
* Proficiency in Japanese language is required to be able to liaise effectively with native Japanese-speaking stakeholders
* Knowledge/Experience in trading or plastics business is an advantage
