Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is one of the leading real estate developers. They are actively looking to hire an Assistant General Manager to oversee their Operations Department.

The Responsibilities:

* Oversee the Operations Department and be responsible for the Building Management, Engineering, Fire/Safety/Security, and the Carpark services of shopping mall and MCST facilities
* Lead teams and ensure smooth, efficient operations of the premises
* Planning and implementation of maintenance works/services and major capex replacements
* Oversee tenants' fit out according to requirements of guidelines and compliance with requirements
* Update the tenancy design guidelines when required
* Preparation of annual budgets and control of operating and capex expenses
* Planning and implementing improvement work to increase operating efficiency
* Ensure quotations, tenders, purchasing, and sourcing processes comply with corporate governance and procedures
* Ensure that works carried out comply with the Building Management and Strata Management Act
* Liaise with Stakeholders and Subsidiary Proprietors on engineering, building management, security and MCST matters
* Provide advice on change of uses, reconfiguration, subdivision of tenanted shop units, etc.
* Be updated of latest code requirements and liaise with government authorities to ensure compliance
* Prepare and present reports to Board of Directors and MCST Council Members

The Requirements:

* Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management or equivalent
* Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in facilities management with 10 years in people management role
* Strong retail property management experience in malls
* Strong M&E skills and knowledge including preventive maintenance
* Strong people management skills with ability to lead, guide, and coach team
