Our client is one of the largest and renowned education company which has strong envision and a market leader. They are seeking for an exceptional IT Application Manager to manage breakthrough initiatives focused on improving customer experience and driving operational efficiency.

About the Role:

The IT Applications Manager will provide technical leadership for every aspect of software development life cycle and establishes and administers the overall strategies and procedures for the IT Applications and Software arena.

He or she will be the focal point for managing implementation, governance, and support of core applications, and is responsible for effectively analysing, planning, organizing, and leading teams in support of production applications while managing risk, workload, scope, capacity, schedule, and budget.

The IT Applications Manager works with the various department heads and assess the business needs and requirements and identify what IT applications solutions are needed to improve business operations. He or she will also work closely with the project team, business, and technical partners (internal and third-party vendors) and end users and lead the delivery and support of applications that meet the needs of the business, and that continuous improvement is being achieved.

He or she will supervise the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of software applications used by the company and will have a sharp awareness of the latest software development and how it can make the business more efficient and successful.

The IT Application Manager supports the leadership with creating strategic plans to accomplish technical and business objectives. He or she should be strategic, analytical, results driven, and innovative in nature. He or she must enjoy a fast paced, results driven environment and have a track record of success in delivering commitments with quality and a focus on customers. The right individual is willing to "do what it takes" to get the work done and the results produced - "not my job" is not in the lexicon of this person.

The Responsibilities:

* Lead a team of IT specialists in the procurement, installation, configuration, and maintenance/ upgrading of software applications
* Troubleshoot and resolve any problems with business application software
* Provide application administrative support across applications
* Establish protocols for software applications and ensure their ease of use for others
* Partner with business stakeholders and IT team to provide a strategic vision for new and supported applications and create system roadmaps and business processes
* Address the various needs, concerns, expectations of stakeholder groups and identify which or what IT applications solutions are needed to improve business operations
* Analyse business operations and the business's computer systems and determine which or what software applications could improve efficiency, identifying opportunities for application optimization, redesign, or process improvement
* Research and procure software applications that will contribute to the success of the company
* Plan and execute applications projects, meeting project requirements and creating project deliverables
* Able to run projects with internal users independently and update the stakeholders on a timely manner on the progress
* Balance competing project constraints including but not limited to scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks in order to accommodate the needs of each user/customer
* Test and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of any new applications programs
* Monitor the roll-out of new software applications to ensure there are no problems
* Create and oversee protocols and procedures for the use of any new software applications
* Build a strong technical culture around our business systems that emphasizes technical excellence, rapid iteration, strong security, and frictionless user experiences
* Manage application maintenance outsourcing & software contract agreements; Implement and monitor standards around scope management, financial management, service level agreements (SLA), ensure compliance to mitigate risk, increase service/business impact & reduce costs
* Create and maintain company databases
* Drive adoption through meaningful use of innovative solutions

The Requirements:

* Bachelor or higher Degree in Programming, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related IT field
* 8 or more years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years of vendor management experiences with global IT vendors
* 3 or more years of management experience with at least 3-5 direct reports preferred
* Strong working knowledge of computer networking, installation, and administration
* Experience with customization, system integration and rollout of enterprise software applications for CRM, LMS, and DRM solutions
* Experience with Azure or equivalent cloud solutions and deploying enterprise software solutions on managed cloud preferred
* Experience in coding and mentoring others in the .NET stack
* Solid experience in .Net and C#
* Experience in using MS TFS or equivalent tools to track team progress
* Strong experience in database management and project management
* Skilled in enterprise applications architecture and understand the trade-offs of different tech stacks
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Strong leadership, management, and customer service skills
* Strong interpersonal and stakeholders' engagement skills
* Possess a can-do attitude, initiative, creativity and able to work under stringent timeline and stressful situations
* Good understanding of the education industry will be advantageous
