Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is one of the leading global providers of mechanical process equipment, serving some of the leading companies in the Oil & Gas / Power / Chemical Processing / Water / Marine industries, with an established client base both here in Asia & worldwide. As part of their continued drive to improve & expand their operations here in SEA we're working with them to hire a Supply Chain Specialist to help manage order execution processes and supply chain functions from order handover till job closure.

The Responsibilities:

* Performs supply chain and logistics functions such as material requirement planning, purchasing, inventory control, distribution and delivery
* Issue purchase orders timely from approved requisition queues
* Obtain timely vendor PO acknowledgement and promise dates
* Expediting of suppliers to ensure materials and document deliverables are received in line with Client Order requirements and OTD targets are met
* Ensures the effective use of ERP system (e.g. SAP, QuickBooks) for smooth job planning and executing
* Tracks order delivery status and communicates status to both internal and external customers
* Engage closely with critical customers by providing regular updates on order status
* Ensure proper shipment documents are received or created for shipment to be processed
* Manage approved freight forwarders closely based on KPIs such as price and performance
* Provide management revenue recognition forecasting on weekly basis
* Ensures all orders shipped within a financial month are closed in ERP system for revenue to be recognized
* Proactively resolving any logistics or goods receipt issues, including warranty, customs clearance or GST issues
* Develop an improvement integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., purchasing, warehousing, and logistics) and customers
* Works with the appropriate parties to drive standardization and to continuously improve supply chain efficiency in the areas of cost reduction, customer satisfaction, on time delivery etc
* Maintain effective communications with inter-departmental stakeholders, regional functional team, inter-company factories, 3rd party suppliers, distributors, service providers, and customers across the region for smooth orders execution and fulfilment

The Requirements:

* Preferred Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business
* Preferred minimum experience of 5 years in Supply Chain or Logistics function
* Professional Supply Chain Management qualification is desirable but not essential
* Ability to understand customs requirements and import/export tax
* Proven experience of using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (e.g. SAP, Quickbooks) and MS Office application (e.g. MS Excel) is a must
