Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is one of the leading real estate Japanese companies in Singapore that was incorporated in 1963. They specialize in shopping centres and currently looking for an Assistant Legal Manager to join their team.

The Responsibilities:

* Provide in-house and/or coordinate with external legal counsels for legal advice
* Keep updates on changes in regulations
* Review internal compliance/ polices, perform periodic training on compliance to promote a high level of ethical awareness such as PDPA, Anti bribery, Anti-corruption, etc.
* Perform independent and objective reviews and analysis of business activities and related policies and internal controls to improve operations, comply with laws, regulations, and company policies to better manage risks
* Prepare documents in relation to directors/shareholders' resolution while liaising with company secretary
* Conduct contractual obligation under the master lease agreement and maintain a strong relationship with landlord and inter-company
* Monitor and maintain all legal documents and contract handling to ensure compliance accordance with internal regulations
* Oversee overseas projects such as research on overseas projects

The Requirements:

* Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree, preferably in Law
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Corporate Legal or Secretarial
* Deep knowledge of commercial and corporate law
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent skills in negotiation and public speaking
* Able to work independently and do legal research
