Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is one of the leading Japanese Trading firms. They are looking for a confident individual to join them as Logistic Executive Trade & Customs.

The Responsibilities:

* Contribute pro-actively to improve the trade governance (Logistics Management) in Asia Pacific offices, includes giving support to Affiliated companies
* Support digital transformation for trading biz process through the implementation of integrated trading biz operation platform in Asia Pacific offices
* Internal stakeholders: Business Departments, Logistics Strategy Staff (LLS) in Asia Pacific offices
* External stakeholders: Systems vendors
* Trade Governance (Trade & Customs):

* Provide support/guidance to day-to-day enquiries from local Biz Depts (including LLS in Asia Pacific offices and Affiliates) as main and sub-Person In Charge
* Conduct regular internal audits

* Integrated Trading Business Operation project

* Support implementation of project in Asia Pacific offices

* Logistics Management Workflow

* Conduct pre-contract check for new items and businesses for Business Depts and support LSS if necessary

* Training

* Prepare/conduct trade governance and internal system related trainings for local and Asia Pacific offices staff

* Department Activities

* Support other activities as and when required, such as Digital Transformation projects, SharePoint Online updating/maintenance, coordination of annual regional meetings, update of Trade and Logistics Investigation Report and ad-hoc projects, etc.

* Official reporting: GM
* Day-to-day reporting: Deputy GM

The Requirements:

* Degree Holder
* Min 3 years' experience in Trade and Customs Governance field (understanding of Free Trade Agreements, Strategic Goods Control Act, Inco Terms, HS Code)
* Dedicated personality with good teamwork
* Highly motivated and ability to take on new challenges
* Good communication, networking, and presentation skills
* Working experience with major Logistics Service Provider, or Singapore Customs is preferred
* Familiarity with trading companies' business schemes
* Able to work under pressure
