Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is a leading group providing power protection solutions for more than 20 years, headquartered in Japan. They are looking for a Project Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical) to be responsible for the day-to-day execution of integrated building construction.

The Responsibilities:

* Oversee efficiency of operation to the project and ensure compliance with the established schedule
* Coordinate, supervise and monitor progress of work on site
* Ensure operational procedures, work instructions/ method statements and Code of practices are followed
* Handover completed installation to customer professionally
* Ensure progress of project is according to the installation schedule and initiate appropriate actions where deviations observed
* Compilation of Operation and maintenance manual
* Liase with client, consultant, CoW and statutory bodies on matters regarding work progress, work and plans approval
* Review accuracy of purchasing data on Material approval form prior release to department manager for approval
* Liase with purchasing on requisite and delivery of resources (including equipment, materials, labour, etc.)
* Assist project manager in contract administration, project schedule preparation, progress claims, as well as disputes and variation

The Requirements:

* Minimum Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering, preferably Degree in related studies
* 6 years of relevant working experience on site
* Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff of all levels
* Computer savvy, proficient in MS Office
* Candidate with possession of Core Trade/ LEW certificate will be advantageous
