Our Client:
Our client is one of the top leading Pharmaceutical Companies, headquartered in Japan.
They have over 120 years history and have strong platform with head office in sales and developing functions in Japan, North America, and China. They are actively looking for a Senior Manager, Regional Finance and Accounting to join their team in Singapore.
The Responsibilities:
Cover area: Singapore and its subsidiaries in Thailand, Taiwan, and Malaysia (Organization)
* Manage the consolidated financial reporting for Organization. This includes monthly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, 5-year financial plans and all statutory financial reporting
* Maintain the financial health of Organization, manage the ongoing development/establishment of accounting SOPs and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system setup/changes
* Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a JSOX environment
* Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans, and provide advice to Managing Director of Company regarding spending and budget questions
* Manage all accounting practices across Organization
* Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance on timely manner
* Manage purchasing practices properly through the procurement processes
Work closely with:
* All members of Organization
* Managing Director and Administration staff of each of the Company's Subsidiaries in Thailand, Taiwan, and Malaysia
* Finance & Accounting Department of the parent company
* Accounting Firms
* External Auditors
The Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting /Finance
* Related MBA a plus
* CPA preferred
* 5-7 years of work experience in accounting or financial planning & analysis function
* 3-5 years of work experience as an Accounting Manager or similar
* Experience as auditor in Big 4 Accounting Firm a plus
* Prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
* Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
* Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office
* A self-starter, flexible, high-level of integrity
* Action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal in English with all levels, including senior management, peers, and staff as well as external contacts
* Ability to meet tight deadlines
