Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is a leading food manufacturing and distribution company with footprints across Asia, the Middle East and Europe. They are looking for a Logistic Manager to take lead of logistic and distribution process and to maintain its competitive position in the industry through effective strategies.

The Responsibilities:

* Ensure all completed orders are dispatched on time while ensuring goods quality during transportation
* Ensure all drivers are clear with licenses and permits required to legally carry loads to their destination
* Develop and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes to improve financial and operational performance
* Manage manpower and resources according to needs
* Observe, analyze delivery issues, outline problem and recommend solutions to issues
* Conduct planning and analyze the need 3PL support and manage delivery performance
* Ensure delivery team inspects good prior delivery to ensure good quality and accurate quantity
* Ensure all workers complies to industry standard when dealing with customer
* Recommend optimal transport modes and routes to improve efficiency
* Review impact of logistic changes, such as routing, delivery mode and product volumes
* Work together with 3PL maintenance company to reduce downtime due to repair/ routine maintenance
* Monitor driver transit and report if suspected poor driving attitude or additional miles
* Coaching and developing high performing team to deliver best practice results, continuously improving, and adding value to company
* Proactively improve processes to increase efficiency, provide improvement plans within constraints of legislation, fuel cost and rising environmental pressures
* Set departmental objectives and KPI, review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
* Ensure all workers operate complies with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure safety and wellbeing of staff
* Manage route planning, delivery times and transport cost using IT/ TMS system
* Analyze data from system to evaluate performance and quality to plan for improvement
* Work together with the sales team to build strong business relationships with customer
* Preparation of routine reports as assigned
* Ensure company vehicles are well maintained and in good working conditions, report on abuse or damage

The Requirements:

* Diploma/ Degree in Logistic/ Supply chain or relevant discipline
* Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience with knowledge in FMCG or logistic industry
* Strong knowledge of logistic management as well as warehouse operation and inventory management for efficient service delivery
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate efficiently
* Attention to details with good time management
* Able to work in fast-paced environment and under pressure
