Our Client:

Our client invites you to join forces in shaping the future of technology alongside them. With over 40 years of experience as a leader in high-precision positioning and piezo technology, they are establishing a new Technology and Innovation Centre in Singapore to drive forward research and development in precision motion control.

As a self-motivated problem-solver, you'll collaborate with a global team of scientists and engineers to develop and deliver cutting-edge ultra-high precision motion control systems for industrial applications. Within a flat hierarchy that promotes autonomy and creative freedom, you'll conduct experiments, analyze data, and devise innovative solutions to optimize control performance and system dynamics.

The Responsibilities:

* Engage in meticulous research to develop advanced control models and algorithms tailored for intricate actuation systems, encompassing piezo motors, rotary-translation stages, and high-performance drive controllers
* Apply and assess system control models and algorithms through a combination of computer simulations and laboratory experiments
* Partner closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and integrate control models and algorithms into products, contributing to the enhancement of precision positioning applications
* Document technical reports, program codes, algorithms, and other pertinent materials for patent applications and dissemination in esteemed journals and conferences within the related field

The Requirements:

* A Ph.D. degree or a Master's degree holder with at least 4 years of research experience in advanced control theory, control science and engineering, applied mathematics, mechatronics, or a related field
* Demonstrate a robust research background in control systems theory and implementation.
* Possess technical expertise in control system algorithms, alongside advanced math skills in statistics, optimization, and/or machine learning
* Exhibit proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, MATLAB, or Python
* Familiarity with precision positioning systems and motion control technologies is essential
* Showcase experience with modeling and simulation tools
* Highlight strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Display excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Show ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
* Prior experience in developing advanced control models and algorithms for industrial applications is advantageous
