Job Title: Maintenance Planning Engineer

Our Client: Our client, a leading engineering firm, specializes in delivering innovative solutions in the field of construction and project management. With a strong focus on project coordination, cost control, and engineering expertise, they consistently exceed industry standards. Their commitment to safety and client satisfaction makes them a trusted partner in the Oil and Gas petrochemical construction sector. Your main responsibility will be to outline specific tasks while considering the Master Project Schedule, as well as the availability of labour, materials, and equipment throughout the project duration within the allocated budget.

The Responsibilities:

* Responsible for implementing cost-effective planning modifications within assigned budget constraints

* Define specific tasks considering the Master Project Schedule and availability of resources throughout the project

* Demonstrate expertise in planning Oil & Gas industry projects, covering engineering, procurement, construction, and project management, utilizing computer-based planning techniques

* Prepare Level 2 Project Schedule as a reference for subcontractors to develop detailed Level 4 work schedules

* Review subcontractor planning package submissions and recommend approval as the project baseline to management

* Monitor actual progress submitted by subcontractors weekly, ensuring alignment with the approved baseline and report schedule variances to management regularly including overall progress, earned values, and lookahead schedules

* Plan and forecast weekly and monthly work schedules, setting productivity targets

* Maintain and periodically update baseline and current schedules using Primavera P6 software, analysing the impact of proposed changes and additional activities

* Analyse progress variances and their causes

* Conduct site inspections to verify actual progress and document with progress photos for management review

* Initiate actions to prevent non-conformitie

The Requirements:

* Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related field

* 3 to 5 years of Project Planning experience in Oil/Gas and Petrochemical Industries

* Proficient in Primavera Project Planning software (P6)

* Ability to apply Critical Path Method planning techniques to develop detailed project networks and schedules for engineering and installation projects
