Job Description
Our Client:
Our client is an international trading house and distributor specializing in petroleum, chemicals, electronics, machinery, metal, and wide variety of general merchandise. They are headquartered in Korea with global network of more than 40 offices worldwide, and with the expansion requirement they are looking for a Trading Operator to handle daily bunker operations.
The Responsibilities:
* Handle daily bunker operations, ensuring a smooth and seamless trade administration
* Preparation of trading documents, maintenance and updating of files and documentation
* Handle data entries, collate bunker receipts, and issue invoice to clients
* Coordinate with internal and external parties (e.g. customer/ supplier/ agent/ barge companies) on bunker scheduling, provide update on schedule changes
* Assist in month-end closing duties
* Follow up on claim disputes
* Other ad hoc duties assigned
The Requirements:
* Minimum 1-2 year(s)' experience in Trading/ Commodity/ Maritime/ Logistics
* Proficient in computer, familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word
* Good communication and interpersonal skills. Able to speak in Korean to be able to liaise effectively with native Korean-speaking stakeholders is advantageous
