Our client is a regional telecommunications company offering services in internet and ethernet connectivity solutions, cybersecurity, cloud & data centre services, and IT managed services. With more than 20 years of regional track record in Asia, the business is serving a wide range of Fortune 500 enterprises critical to the development and progresses that the region has seen. As of now, the business has a global reach where they are primarily known for providing high-speed internet services and networking solutions to both residential and business customers. With industry certified global network connectivity to sites in over 150 countries through extensive carrier partnerships, the business has won multiple awards as a Telecommunications and Managed Security Services Provider throughout the years.
The Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Collaborate with Network teams to build and maintain the daily operations of Network Infrastructure relied upon by companies and organizations. These networks typically include dark fiber, DWDM, switching, and IP
* Coordinate, plan, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
* Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems
* Configure networks to ensure smooth and reliable operation, aligning with business objectives and processes
* Keep up-to-date on new developments in network products, services, protocols, and standards
* Manage new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades
* Monitor, test, and troubleshoot network performance
* Implement network asset management, including maintaining network component inventory and related documentation
* Manage all network security solutions
The Requirements:
* Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or any related field
* Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience
* Solid understanding of network infrastructure and hardware
* Proficiency in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, and switches
* Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
* Able to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for designing and planning network communication systems
* Knowledgeable in providing specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection
* Able to work independently and also a good team player
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience with LAN, WAN, and network security
* Team leadership experience will be a bonus

Other Information:
* Working Hours: Mon to Fri, 9am to 6pm (weekends & PH on standby)
