Job Description

Our Client:
Our client is one of the growing Industrial Gases manufacturing MNC based in Japan. They are looking for a motivated and experienced person to work as an Assistant Manager for their regional HQ in Singapore.

The Responsibilities:

* Reporting to Senior Vice President - Safety
* Collect and analyze subsidiaries monthly report & statistics data
* Understand Company's standard and Safety Management System (SMS), promoting it to regional subsidiaries
* Implementation of continuous improvement efforts in safety standards, Safe Management System and more
* Perform safety inspections on-sites and advise on risks and safety precautions, including areas of improvement
* Train subsidiaries with necessary knowledge and skill
* Support annual "Safety Meeting" to share knowledge
* Review investigation reports of accidents and support to find root causes and countermeasures while sharing best practices knowledge management
* Understand local regulations and companies' standards
* Review standards drafted from organizational and process safety point of view
* Respond to AIGA committees
* Other ad hoc duties as and when needed

The Requirements:

* Minimum Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
* 5 - 8 years of working experience in Chemical Manufacturing Industry, preferably with experience in process improvement
* Familiar with ISO9001 and ISO45001 or OHSAS18001
* At least 3 years working experience in Safety/Plants would be advantageous
* Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health Act and other related Safety & Health standards
* Willingness to travel to perform inspections within the Asia & Oceania region
* Possess initiative, driven, and able to work independently and result-oriented
* Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
