Job Description

Our Client:
Our client is one of the top Japanese Real Estate Investment companies based in Singapore. Dealing with urban development, they have been in Singapore since 2008, and acts as the Regional HQ with business mainly in Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand. They are actively looking for Senior Executive to join their Compliance team.

The Responsibilities:
Compliance related duties: (90 %)

* Design, implement, roll out, maintain compliance frameworks and policies (including corruption due diligence, human rights management, and supplier chain management) relating to the Group
* Design and monitoring internal control systems to prevent violations of legal rules and internal policies, including undertaking regular review and provide effective improvement advice
* Administer and conduct compliance trainings and communications initiatives amongst employees
* Provide consultation to management & employees when they have any concerns on ethical or compliance issues, conduct investigations when any compliance problem arise, and review the procedures to identify the hidden risks
* Facilitate review of compliance policies and procedures
* Any other tasks assigned by Compliance Manager

Data protection duties (10%)

* Provide guidance and support to the Group on data protection matters.
* Evaluate, implement, and monitor personal data protection compliance policies, procedures, controls and/or remediation measures

The Requirements:

* Minimum Degree Holder in Audit, Finance, Accounting or Law and 5 - 8 years' experience in Compliance, Law, Audit, Risk, or Governance
* Knowledge & experience in human rights and bribery-related laws (e.g., Foreign Corrupt Practices Act /UK Bribery Act) will be advantageous
* Good understanding of internal controls, compliance and knowledge of internal auditing techniques and standards
* Possess regional experience, preferably in Real Estate Industry
* Certification in data protection would be advantageous
* High standard in collaboration and team player
