The Responsibilities:
* Develop rigorous and disciplined investment processes, including idea generation, trade structure, portfolio construction, and risk management
* Implement investment strategies focused on alpha generation and attractive risk-adjusted returns throughout market cycles
* Manage institutional-sized capital within a hedge fund or proprietary context, ensuring adherence to defined risk parameters
* Create, implement, and risk-manage discretionary investment strategies in liquid public securities and derivatives
* Conduct in-depth research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and trends in global markets
* Collaborate with internal teams to optimize portfolio performance and enhance investment processes
* Stay abreast of market developments, economic indicators, and regulatory changes to inform investment decisions
* Provide regular updates and performance reports to senior management and investors
The Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field; advanced degree preferred
* Familiarity with shorting equities, multi-strategy approaches, and managing liquid assets
* Minimum 2 years of experience managing institutional-sized capital in a hedge fund or proprietary context
* Proven track record of developing rigorous investment processes and delivering alpha returns within defined risk parameters
* Experience with strategies focused on alpha generation across diversified allocations to equities
* Strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment ideas effectively
