Job Title: Database Administrator
Our Client: Our client is a prestigious Asset Management Brokerage Firm providing various solutions. This individual will be responsible for supervising cyber governance and risk management. They are looking for a Database Administrator to join their team here in Singapore!
The Responsibilities:
* Provide daily BAU support for databases
* Manage and execute database-related projects
* Handle installation, upgrading, patching, service requests, and resolving incidents and problems related to databases
* Provide design, consultation, and advice on database matters
* Act as the subject matter expert for all database-related matters, including those managed by vendors for outsourced applications
* Improve database performance and operational efficiency through tuning and other enhancements
* Participate in database-related projects such as data warehousing or MSSQL 2014 Refresh
* Manage database backup and disaster recovery processes
* Oversee database-related budgets and workplans
* Handle the management of database-related contracts
* Explore new database technologies to enhance workflows
* Automate database work processes to improve operational efficiency
* Manage database-related contracts and vendors
* Perform any other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management
The Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in administering Microsoft SQL
* Certification in Microsoft SQL Server
* Relevant Experience with Microsoft Windows
* Proficiency in using Windows PowerShell to automate DBA tasks, including regular maintenance jobs
* Experience in capacity monitoring and performance analysis
* Knowledge of database replication and performance optimization
* Basic understanding of TCP/IP networks, DNS, and load balancing
* Additional experience with other RDBMS such as Sybase or Oracle is advantageous
* Exposure to the financial industry, with strong experience and understanding of various business processes and workflows in asset classes like equity and back-office systems
