Critical Facilities Manager

Job Description

Our Client:

We are currently assisting a market leader in data centre operations to hire a Critical Facilities Manager. This is a new headcount position raised for newly acquired data centre within Singapore. You will be responsible to ensure zero downtime for the assigned data centre and provide strategic leadership to a team of 16 engineers.

The Responsibilties:

As a Critical Facilities Manager, you are responsible in:

* Manage the site operation to ensure optimal power usage effectiveness
* Ensure there are adequate support 24/7 to the data centre site assigned
* Run Health and Safety protocols to ensure all tasks performed are in compliance with H&S guideline
* Plan and carry out timely risk assessment call to ensure all pending and planned maintenance works are effectively carried out
* Identify key skillsets to develop and technical competency lacking within team. Roll out workshop to address skillset gaps
* Manage an interim transition projects as assigned by Company
* Run QAQC audit on change control documents, weather effect implication schedules changes pertaining to the assigned portfolio
* Plan and strategize on deployment of staff at site
* Forecast on 5 years operation plan for the assigned data centre site. Plan and manage all protocols and procedure at data centre
* Provide effective solutions of management of annual budget projection
* Run root -cause analysis on any non-compliance cases
* Forge strong and professional work relationship to the assigned Users and external stakeholder

The Requirements:

To qualify for Critical Facilities Manager, you should have:

* More than 6 years of relevant work experience in facility management for critical facility/mission critical site
* Those with prior background in data centre management will be preferred for the role
* Minimum qualification will be a Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
* Excellent communication skills. Mandarin is required for the role to deal with mandarin speaking users and stakeholder
* Strong knowledge in troubleshooting of M&E services and Building Management System. (Eg: ACMV, CRAC, PDU, chiller system, UPS and etc)
* Possess strong leadership ability to manage a shift based team of engineers
* Strong stakeholder management and presentation skill to share on progression at site
* Advance level user in Microsoft Office software, CCIM and DCIM
