Job Description
Our Client:
A Japanese ship operation company is looking for an accountant to join their office located in the city area.
The Responsibilities:
* Coordinate with ships' Master, charterers, ship owners, managers and port agents for smooth voyage, entry to ports, and loading/unloading of cargo
* Select bunker supplier through open tender and arrange bunkers for ships
* Check and handle ship and cargo documents to ensure smooth operations
* Timely and accurate Input of voyage data in IMOS operations software
* Check and verify vendor invoices and co-ordinate payment schedules with accounting staff to ensure timely settlement
* Assist chartering & operations managers in collecting and providing data about ships and ports and the Product Tanker market generally
* Collection of freight and other receivables with timely and close follow-up on over-due receivables
The Requirements:
* Min 3 years experience in vessel operation (especially tanker operations)
* Good working knowledge and experience in ship operations and chartering software
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
