Our Client:
Our client is leading IT tech MNC firm with strong expansion plans across Asia Pacific region. In line with their current business strategy, our client is looking to hire a team of Facilities Engineer with prior experience in management of Data Center. This role will report to a Facilities team lead and regional HODs.
The Responsibilities:
As a Facilities Engineer, Data Centre, your main responsibilities include:
* Overseeing performance/ services rendered of appointed vendor/term contractors and ensuring all work rendered are in adherence to Company policies and contract agreement
* Maintenance management, technical analysis and daily site reporting of the assigned data center
* Ensure strong cohesive relationship with DC Operators and outsourced facilities staff
* Plan and run routine and emergency checks on a M&E critical system such as: switchgear, power distribution equipment, UPS systems, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, BMS and generators
* Assist IT managers and department heads to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability and efficiency
* Oversee asset and inventory management
* Assist in new build, A&A and AEI project planning for Data Centre
* Planning of DC capacity
The Requirements:
To qualify for a Facilities Engineer, Data Centre role, you must:
* Graduate with a certified Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant discipline
* Those who possess other qualification related to DC; Eg: CDCP, CDCS, ATS, ATD, LEED are preferred for the role
* Possess fundamental knowledge in LV/HV cabling, BMS system and Fire Protection system
* Possess minimum 7 years of experience in data center management with the recent 4 years Data Center facilities management
* Possess key attributes such as: meticulous, strong communication and ability to prioritize projects based on level of criticality
* Proven track record in security and safety compliance framework
* Must be willing to be based in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
* Must be willing to work on shift-based or on call basis arrangement
