Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is an internationally acclaimed developer with a well-diversified portfolio of properties in Asia Pacific and European region. Due to recent staff movement, our client is looking to hire a M&E trained and competent facilities engineer to manage a renowned mix-use development at south of Singapore. This role will report directly to the HOD and a more senior position title(Senior Executive) will be considered for those with more than 5 years of relevant experience.

The Responsibilities:

As a M&E, Facilities Engineer, you key duties include:

* Review and manage all fit-out/renovation/reinstatement works, drawing and plans submitted by the tenants and ensure that the fit-out/renovation/reinstatement works are conducted in accordance to the building's rules and regulations
* Follow up and attain building compliance certifications from relevant institutional regulatory bodies in Singapore
* Prepare scope of work and specifications and running of tender exercise for engagement of specialty services
* Sourcing of quotations, recommend, prepare & issue Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for procurements and implement improvement works
* Manage Tenant's requests for facilities services and assist in overseeing all facilities upgrading projects
* Generating the 1st incident report & escalation
* Plan, supervise, inspect, audit and certify works carried out by the contractors.
* Conduct regular inspection of building and facilities to ensure that building facilities are in satisfactory and serviceable condition and where necessary, follow up with rectifications or recommendation
* Arrange and chair meetings with key service providers, vendors/contractors, prepare or review minutes of meetings and follow up on outstanding matters or course of actions
* Manage and maintain proper records, files of correspondence, documents and materials pertaining to Building
* Control and manage use of common amenities and facilities in the Building. Attending to emergencies
* Attend and follow up on all relevant building related enquiries
* Prepare tenant's monthly utility consumption reports
* Monitor and tend the daily consumption of water and electricity of the building and trace the cause when there is a spike
* Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned whenever required

The Requirements:

To qualify for the role of M&E Facilities Engineer, you are required to:

* Possess a Diploma / Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years relevant experience
* A positive team leader with good judgment, prompt decision-making abilities and the ability to meet tight deadlines
* Possess a high level of self-initiation at work and customer first mindset
* Must possess strong fundamental knowledge in M&E services for building. This includes and are not limited to: ACMV, HVAC, fire protection, BMS, chillers, lighting and plumbing services
* Those with certification in Fire Safety Management, Green Mark efficiency or Water Efficiency are preferred
* Those with affiliation to Board of Engineers association are preferred
