Assistant Manager - Ops - Settlements (Bonds & Repos/D&R/AP)

Job Description

Our Client:

One of the largest commercial banks in Taiwan. They are actively looking to hire an Assistant Manager to help in managing their daily operations.

The Responsibilities:

* The Assistant Manager, Operations - Settlement (Bonds & Repos/D&R/AP) is responsible for the checking and approving of Treasury transactions
* Day-to-day checking and approving of Treasury products inclusive of trade verification, monitoring of confirmations, settlement of trades and investigations, if any
* Ensures that trades are processed, confirmed, and settled on a timely and accurate basis in accordance with the Bank's policies and procedures
* Timely identification, escalation, and resolution of all trade issues with front office/counterparties, ensuring timelines are met
* Management of SWIFT Alliance System, including releasing of SWIFT payment
* Management of issues related to remittances and deposits
* Management of issues related to Accounts Payables, including providing support for vendor payments and staff claims
* Preparation of Management/head office/MAS reporting
* Handles any projects assigned
* Handles and liaise with service providers on outsourcing matters
* Covers checker's duties as and when required
* Carries out other duties as and when assigned

The Requirements:

* Minimum a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Banking and Finance/Accountancy or a relevant discipline
* Minimum 5 years' experience within the Banking industry, Treasury Operations space
* Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese to liaise with native Mandarin-speaking HQ counterparts

Key Performance Indicators

* Not more than 2 incidental mistakes made for the financial year
* No material audit issues raised against Ops for the financial year
* At least 2 instances where core values are demonstrated for the financial year
* Providing Operational support for new business initiatives for the financial year
* Cultivating key talents in the team and provide appropriate coaching
