Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is a semiconductor technology design and manufacturing company that specializes in developing integrated optoelectronic solutions for various applications. Their technology enables the integration of multiple functions into a single chip, resulting in cost-effective, compact, and high-performance products.

As the Principal Engineer Product Engineer, you will monitor, improve, record, organize, track, and present the process yield data of fab partners. Your experience will allow you to perform data analysis, problem characterization, and fault isolation to identify the root cause of issues.

The Responsibilities:

* Design and develop Optical Interposer products with a focus on yield and performance
* Drive yield enhancement and defect elimination for various optical engine designs based on Optical Interposer technology
* Perform data analysis, problem characterization, and fault isolation to identify the root cause of issues
* Define problems by identifying failure modes, quantity of affected material, fallout percentage, and other relevant metrics
* Monitor, improve, record, organize, track, and present the process yield data of fab partners
* Implement checklists, guidelines, "lesson learnt" and history documents to capture and record all yield-improvement activities
* Conduct yield maintenance and yield improvement for multiple products
* Perform yield analysis to determine yield loss correlation to electrical, optical, and physical (placement) parameters
* Analyze related failure analysis methodologies, such as electrical failure analysis and physical analysis

The Requirements:

* Have at least 5 years of experience in Optoelectronics, Optical Components, and Photonic Device Systems and Sub-systems
* Hold a post-graduate degree (MSc/MPhil/PhD/EngD or equivalent) in
* Optoelectronics/Photonics/Electronics/Electrical Engineering/Physics or a related field
* Have training in semiconductor-based light-emitting optoelectronics (preferred)
* Possess strong data-driven analytics and systematic problem-solving skills
* Have extensive knowledge of failure analysis methodologies
* Possess programming and scripting skills, as well as computational literacy (e.g. C/C++, Python, MATLAB/Octave, etc.)
* Have proven working experience in the optoelectronics manufacturing industry
* Possess strong organizational and multitasking skills
