Our Client:

Our client is a leading global manufacturer of semiconductor products, they have more than 300 operating locations worldwide and more than 40 manufacturing sites, they are seeking to hire an Application Engineer to join their team in Singapore.

As an Application Engineer, you will use your experience in microcontrollers and address customer problems on-site and off-site, overseas travel will be required. In return the company will offer you exciting opportunities to further develop your career in an expanding organisation.

The Responsibilities:

* Analyze and address customer problems both on-site and off-site in a timely manner
* Deliver regular technical presentations and training sessions to FAEs and/or customers
* Develop new product datasheets, demo programs, application notes, and design guides
* Conduct performance testing of new products and provide comparison reports with competitor parts
* Create new applications based on existing/new products
* Collaborate with the marketing team to support product launches and project design-ins
* Work with cross-functional teams (RD/PD) on new product specification definition and development

The Requirements:

* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a relevant field
* At least 1-3 years of work experience
* Experience in field application support (Optical Sensor Experience preferred)
* Good understanding of microcontroller operation, peripherals, and systems
* Experience in hardware debugging and understanding of I2C/USART/SPI protocol
* Solid programming skills in C/C# (experience in development and integration of device driver in Linux/Android preferred)
* Proficiency with laboratory instruments
* Strong team spirit, communication, and understanding skills
* Willingness to travel and open to the possibility of a long stay overseas
