Job title: QA Engineer
Our client: A young, agile, and growing Singaporean SME B2B financial software solution firm, the firm delivers versatile fintech solutions, encompassing trading, payments, and remittance across digital assets (crypto) and traditional assets (fiat). Their solution support cloud-based, on-premises, or hybrid deployment in meeting the evolving needs of the financial sector. The firm caters esteemed brokers, financial institutions, and businesses with advanced fintech solutions. This 2024, the company have been awarded several projects and is currently looking to hire additional team members.
Responsibilities
In your role as a QA Engineer, you will report to the QA Team Lead. You are to conduct tests prior to product launches, ensuring that the software operates efficiently and meets client expectations. Responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging issues, and defining corrective measures. Additionally, you will review system requirements and monitor quality assurance metrics (such as defect densities and open defect counts). The QA engineer is crucial to our company's product development process.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Evaluate requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide prompt and constructive feedback
* Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
* Estimate, prioritize, plan, and manage testing activities
* Create, develop, and run automation scripts using automated testing tools
* Identify, record, thoroughly document, and track bugs
* Conduct comprehensive regression testing when bugs are fixed
* Monitor the results of the debugging process
* Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts
* Stay informed about new testing tools and strategies
* Collaborate with the development and project management teams for smooth SIT/UAT
* Perform other assigned responsibilities
Requirements:
* At least Diploma from a reputable university, in either Information Technology or Computer Science
* Experience in working on web/mobile application projects
* 2+ years of working experience as a software tester is preferred. Familiar with QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Familiarity with automation testing techniques is a plus
* Mandarin language for business communication. You are to work with Mandarin speaker stakeholders
* A major plus if you come with experience from the domains of fintech / financial trading / capital market / digital assets (crypto)
