Job Description

Customer and channel facing presales engineering representative focused on Singapore market. Main job responsibilities include spending time with customers to understand requirements, creating network designs and quotes, presenting engineering design proposals. This role also requires to work closely with local channel partners and to enable channel partner pre-sales teams to drive profitable business.

Responsibilities

* Work closely with sales managers and channel partner manager to understand customer's technical and commercial requirements

* Create network designs and modeling tools for customer applications and requirements base on the company networking products (optical fiber/DWDM)

* Create Bill of Materials, respond to RFPs and customer technical inquiries under Salesforce

* Develop and customize presentations to highlight products and solutions differentiations

* Provide presales support and training to channel partners for channel partners

* Occasional travels in the other Asia regions

* Positive attitude to drive sales opportunities and willingness to become customer's trusted technical advisor, and desire to learn new technologies via internal training

Requirements

*Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computing Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or equivalent
*4-8 years of combined experience in telecommunications industry
*Experiences in fiber optics transmission systems (SDH, DWDM, submarine), design or operations
*Experiences in technical pre-sales, sales engineering, customer training and/or customer facing activities
*Ability to develop customer relationships and work well with customers with good references
*Ability to work well in a team, e.g. different departments and business units, and possess good attitude in sharing knowledge among peer groups
*Strong English skills essential
