Senior Engineer (Electrical and Instrumentation)

Job Description

Our Client:
Our client is a Japanese plastic processing manufacturing company and they are looking for a "Senior Engineer, Electrical and Instrumentation" for their Singapore Office

The Resposibilities:
Planning and implementation of maintenance schedules of all electrical and process control instruments in the plant
Supervision and co-ordination with in-house contractor for all electrical and instrumentation works related to :

* Daily Maintenance

* Grade Change Maintenance
* Shutdown maintenance
* Plant Improvement & Modification Works

* Ensure all electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities are carried out in accordance to the Company's HSEQ Standards, statutory requirements and best industry practices
* Maintenance of the Distributed Control System (DCS)
* Introduce appropriate preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize mean time between failures
* Maintain proper maintenance records in order to provide good maintenance history for future reference and troubleshooting purposes
* Conduct failure root cause analysis and to take appropriate corrective measures
* Keep track of the stock level of critical equipment spare parts and consumables to avoid unnecessary downtime due to lack of spares
* Calibration of Critical Process Instruments
* Arrange for calibration or conduct calibration of critical process instruments
* Affixation of label (with indication of date of calibration and validity period) to validate calibration
* Maintain records for all calibration carried out

The Requirements:

* Degree in Bachelor of Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering,
* Familiar with DCS, E&I equipment used in Chemical Plant
* 8-10+ years relevant experience in process plant chemical, petrochemical, etc
* An aptitude for and interest in maintenance of chemical plant
* Analytical skills
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Good communication skill and able to collaborate with different functions
* Problem-solving skills
