Regulatory Affairs Manager, SEA (Biocides)

Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is one of the leading global specialty chemicals manufacturer.

The Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with authorities, advocacy groups and customers in SEA region of regulatory matters and ensure compliance to all registration/permit requirements of the biocides business
* Adhere to regulatory compliance by completing the required filings and documentation related to product registrations, approvals, permits, re-registrations, etc
* Compile registration data for submission to relevant authorities in SEA
* Supply testing and compliance requirements for new or modified products as needed
* Be accountable for regulatory projects, leading/advising internal and external team about regulatory resources available in the region Build and maintain professional relationships with regulatory agencies to effectively negotiate registration requirements, define status and facilitate approvals of products submitted for registration
* Co-ordinate with Scientists in Agricultural Universities, Test Facilities and other accredited agencies for country specific field trials & audit
* Organize toxicological tests along with evaluation, monitoring and project management
* Participate international seminars or conferences related to product registration matters
* Keep abreast of changes in global testing requirements, both implemented and proposed, and co-ordinate sending of samples, and ensure follow through with regulatory bodies
* Be accountable to inform internal teams on latest regulatory changes affecting registration activities
* Be accountable to maintain internal registration database
* Work with internal global regulatory team about labelling requirements of various countries for products produced in Singapore

The Requirements:

* Masters' Degree in Chemistry, Biology or other related fields
* Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant working experience in the same industry. (e.g. Biocides for product protection)
* Ability to implement practical solutions, keeping in line with technical and regulatory requirements in different areas/countries in SEA region
* Demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and persuasion skills
* Ability to work with all levels of organization and cultural backgrounds
* Strong problem solving and project management skills
* Exhibits flexibility and adaptability to new challenges
