Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is one of the world's largest general insurance groups with operations. They started with business management groups for more than a century in Japan. They are actively looking to hire a Senior Executive to join their Accounts Payable team in Singapore.

The Responsibilities:

* Assist company for daily operations in Accounts Payable team
* Check, verify, and approve commission payment, premium refund, claims payments, suppliers' invoices/payments, staff reimbursements, reinsurance payments, co-insurance payments and DUAL payments
* To make sure deductions from bank accounts are accounted for immediately and accurately
* Assist in year-end accruals of expenses
* Prepare bank reconciliations and audit schedules
* Attend to enquiries from Business Units, Vendors, and Intermediaries
* Participate in UAT for product initiatives, migration, etc
* Initiate and process improvements in AP team
* Perform any other duties as may be assigned

The Requirements:

* Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
* Proficient in MS Office, especially in MS Excel
* Good communication skills (written and verbal)
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment
* Have a comprehensive understanding of accounting practices
* Able to supervise and guide the team, able to work independently and in a team
* Diverse and agile personality due to liaising with other departments
* Have a financial and/or accounting experience in an insurance-related industry
