Our Client:
We are working with a semiconductor technology design and manufacturing company is a leader in developing cutting-edge photonic sensing and optical light source solutions. Their technology enables the integration of multiple functions into a single chip, resulting in cost-effective, compact, and high-performance products. They are seeking to hire a Test Development and Analysis Engineer for their team in Singapore.
Able to develop test methodologies and testing plans, to characterize the optical, electrical, RF, and thermal performance of optoelectronic devices, you will be working for a company that is at the forefront of technology and can provide you with opportunities to work on exciting projects and contribute to the development of new solutions.
The Responsibilities:
* Design and develop test methodologies, set-ups, and testing plans for optoelectronic devices, such as transceivers, lasers, gain chips, and photonic integrated circuits
* Conduct test and characterization runs to support various projects such as New Product Innovation, New Requirement Engineering, Request for Customization, and Product Improvement
* Perform waveguide and optical coupling tests of passive components and electro-optical tests to characterize active optoelectronic devices and photonic integrated circuits
* Analyze test results and correlate them with design requirements and simulation results to improve design and performance
* Generate test reports with measurement results and detailed analyses in a timely manner
* Contribute to building test and characterization capabilities of the Photonics Test Lab by maintaining test set-ups and jigs, calibrating measurement instrumentation, and automating set-ups
* Collaborate closely with in-house and outsourced partners including wafer fab, assembly and packaging, design, and product teams
* Act as an interface between NPI Engineers, Product Engineers, and External Suppliers/Partners for creating test plans and clarifying requirements
The Requirements:
* Post-graduate degree (MSc/MPhil/PhD/EngD or equivalent) in Optoelectronics/Photonics/Electronics/Electrical Engineering/Physics or similar
* Training in semiconductor-based light-emitting optoelectronics is preferred
* Minimum of 5 years' work experience with technical background in optoelectronics, optical components, and photonic device systems and sub-systems
* Proven working experience in the optoelectronics manufacturing industry
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Programming and scripting skills and computational literacy; e.g. C/C++, Python, MATLAB/Octave, etc.
* Proven organizational and multitasking skills
