Job Description

The position is the key support to the Financial Controller on executing the financial reporting, statutory compliance in audit and tax requirements, and the effective operation of the internal controls in Singapore and Malaysia, and is a potential successor to the Financial Controller.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

1. To supervise the daily financial operations and financial reporting of the Singapore and Malaysia operations.

2. Timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close. Meet all reporting deadlines.

3. To perform the following finance tasks:

* Ledger closing for all entities in Singapore and Malaysia.

* Sales and EBIT Flash, Estimate, MMM report.

* Inventory control, reconciliation, provision and physical count.

* Sarbanes-Oxley and other internal control.

* GST statutory filing for Singapore and Malaysia.

* Store Impairment review.

* External audit clearance.

* Quarterly and annual US and local tax reporting & compliance.

* SAP, HFM and Island Pacific process improvement.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

*Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, preferably with retail or FMCG industry.
*At least 2 years in Managerial position.
*Experienced in manage a team.

Education:

Finance professional with CPA qualification and a university or college degree.

Skills:

*Good inter-personal and communication skills, including ability to work with team from different levels.
*Good Excel, Power Point, SAP and Hyperion Finance Management skills a plus. Prior experience with Island Pacific or similar ERP systems an advantage.
*Impeccable integrity, energetic, self-motivated, hands-on, able to work under pressure and adaptive to changes.
