Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is a listed company that provides environmental infrastructure solutions and services. They are actively looking to hire an Assistant Technical Engineer to join their team in Singapore.

The Responsibilities:

* Become a proactive member of the Station Team
* Assist the power plant manager in meeting the contractual, technical, and commercial requirements for the power plant's setup and operation
* Help monitor important operational factors (such as boiler flows, important operational control valves, effluent discharge, etc.) and compare to planned or finished work orders

* Prepare test reagents to carry out laboratory sampling for water related monitoring accountable for keeping track of the caustic and acid tanks' levels and starting top-ups as needed
* Maintenance of inventory for chemicals and related consumables
* To fulfil PUB effluent discharge requirements
* Help design and put into place performance procedure & O&M policies and procedures to achieve all Station, company financial viability
* Monitor and review the technical and economic feasibility study of improvement projects for efficiency, reliability, sustainability, and safety
* Participate actively in all environmental, health, and safety procedures and activities
* Participate in on-site and off-site training as needed (Visitor and Interns/New Hire Engagement and Management), both to be trained and to train others
* The post holder will be expected to comply with all company and legislative health requirements relevant to their duties and responsibilities to perform additional tasks and obligations as the Power Station Manager deems essential

The Requirements:

* Diploma in Mechanical or Chemical/Process Engineering preferably aligned to power generation thermodynamics and/or chemistry
* Minimum 2 years of work experience in Power Station O&M ideally on a CCPP
* Entry level candidates may also be considered
* Detailed understanding and knowledge of Combined Cycle Power Station thermodynamics. Understanding of Power Station maintenance practices
* Good understanding of Power Station engineering design and construction

Other Information:

* Working Conditions - Air-conditioned office workstation within Power Plant and ad hoc site involvements
* Working Hours - 8.00am to 5.30pm
