Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is a leading Japanese biotech company specializing in Fermentation Biotechnology. They aim to become a biochemical innovator so they will be able to provide people in the world with products and services that will fulfil their healthcare needs.

They have offices in Japan, Asia, Europe, Americas and factories in Japan, the USA, China and Thailand, manufacturing a wide range of amino acids, various active pharmaceutical ingredients, and specialized healthcare ingredients such as human milk oligosaccharides. Due to the consistent growth of the Company, they are actively looking to hire a Sales Executive/ Senior Sales Executive to join their team in Singapore.

The Responsibilities:

* Actively working towards meeting the Company's sales targets by sourcing and securing new sales, and/or promoting the increase of purchases from existing customers
* Actively establish and grow customer relationships that promote good value and mutual benefits between the Company and the customers
* To communicate, manage, and oversee customer complaints or feedback, by working with relevant departments/parties to achieve customer satisfaction while meeting the Company's regulatory commitments
* To effectively organize sales/ account management meetings with customers or prospects
* 〇 Support the development of strategies, plans, and marketing materials to promote the Company's business, products, and brand within Asia
* To support the fulfilment of agreements between the Company and the customers
* To protect the profitability and brand of the Company by proposing and reviewing sales agreements/contracts in line with managed risks, regulatory requirements, and quality standards of the Company
* To work with other departments and the Management to establish or enhance existing/future sales operations and address customers' enquiries (e.g. technical, business, etc.)
* To prepare, record, communicate and report individual sales efforts, account information, and sales to the Management of the Company
* To ensure that the required documentation to facilitate sales were obtained, and to support the Company's efforts in retrieving receivables from clients

General Responsibilities

* To adhere to the philosophies and policies established by the Organization
* To support the ongoing efforts of the Organization to achieve aspired and planned goals or outcomes
* To support fellow employees and leaders of the Organization to achieve positive business outcomes
* To work and operate within the boundaries of legal regulations, the values of the Organization, and the standards established by the Company and industry

Key Relationships

* Engage positively with agents and customers to support sales efforts and fulfilment of agreements
* Work with the Logistic Department to ensure the smooth supply of contracted goods to meet customers' needs (including samples for customers and agents)
* Work with the Quality Assurance Department to comply with regulatory requirements, quality standards and any additional initiatives that promote customer satisfaction
* Work with the Accounting Department to ensure timely payments from customers
* Work with the Headquarters to align efforts to global direction and support business sustainability
* Work with the Company's Management to communicate and report sales efforts in order to support the Management in their decision making

The Requirements:

* Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy, Nutrition & Food Science, Life Sciences, Chemistry, or related qualifications)
* Minimum of 5 years of sales and account management experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
* Possess strong communication and influencing skills with a social and approachable disposition
* Shows a positive attitude of being solution-oriented by identifying the root cause of challenges, defining solutions, and supporting others towards achieving a solution
* Confident communicator and presenter
* Strong command of English, both in written and verbal to be able to liaise effectively with English-speaking stakeholders
