Job Description

Our Client:

Our client operates a competitive energy and infrastructure solutions & services. They are actively looking to hire a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Singapore.

The Responsibilities:

* Administrate the various contracts in the project and manage workflows such as variations and EPC Contractor's claim process
* Advise management on contractual matters, progress payments, variation claims, cost & time claims with EPC contractor and client till end of contract
* Ensure that all contractual notices are issued in accordance with the requirements of the project's contracts
* Review variation order request & proposals and assess the associated variation costs
* Review and advise Project Manager/Director on the cost impact for variation of project specifications
* Prepare final account for the settlement with contractors
* Responsible for valuing completed works and analyze it with existing budget
* Manage and monitor actual costs vs project budget
* Assist in preparing proposals, negotiate, and administrate pre and post contracts
* Responsible for any required bill of quantity, measurement of quantity & cost estimation
* Assess and prepare payment claims to submit to client, and submit invoices after payment claims are certified
* Assess and prepare payment responses to EPC contractor, subcontractors, and others to ensure compliance with SOP act
* Preparation of tender documentations, preparation of cost reports and cost plans, administration of tender process, evaluation of tenders and submission of tender recommendation reports
* Any tasks or jobs assigned by management

The Requirements:

* Recognized Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying or in Engineering disciplines (Civil or Mechanical or Electrical or equivalent)
* Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry, especially in contract management, progress payment submissions/responses and project claims
* Strong technical background with sound knowledge of pre and post-contract duties, forms/conditions of contract, standard forms of measurement, CEMS, SMM or equivalent
* Membership with SISV, RICS or/and AIQS will be a plus
* Familiar with tendering, project cost control and strong ability in problem solving and organizing skills
* Must be willing to work in Jurong Island
