Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is one of the largest producers of industrial gas globally, with products used in wide range of industries.

With the expansion in business, they are looking for a Senior Operation Engineer to provide technical support to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

The Responsibilities:

* Provide support in commissioning and startup of plant operations and related issues
* Coordinate and work closely with commissioning manager for all start-up works
* Provide day to day monitoring, as well as support and guidance to the operation shift team in various disciplines, including problem solving and setting up process and standards
* Act as lead to participate in site acceptance testing, pre-commissioning activities and safety reviews, coordinate with Training manager for training and competency development
* Act as lead in root cause analysis on process induced mechanical failures and incidents, make recommendation on action to correct or eliminate issues and follow up on closure of actions
* Follow up on corrective action requests, face auditors (internal and external) and closure within given time limit
* Improve operational effectiveness by conduction plant optimization work or plant modifications, reviewing key operational processes to improve performance and reliability
* Provide support in preparation of budgeting, invoice processing, projects (development, commissioning, execution), operational inputs at all stages, process safety management, government regulation reporting as well as business development activity (concepts, drawings)
* Coordinate on operational activities as well as plant turnaround tasks
* Conduct troubleshooting work on issues and processes as and when required

The Requirements:

* Degree in Chemical/ Process Engineer or other related discipline
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Petrochemical/ Industrial Gas/ Refinery/ Pharma Industry, with experience in large plant commissioning
* Organized, able to conduct troubleshooting work with good leadership
* Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
