Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is a well-established Japanese general insurance company located around CBD. They are actively looking to hire an Assistant Manager to join their ever-growing team in Singapore.

The Responsibilities:

* Supervise, mentor, and coach junior staff by enhancing their product/ market knowledge
* Identify and develop potential business areas and maintain professional relationship with existing and potential customers. This shall include provision of technical advice on customers' insurance need
* Review, accept, and underwrite business within Risk Acceptance Authority and guidelines including claim matters, recommendations on wordings, and liaise with stakeholders
* To participate at company level committees for ad hoc projects to improve and expand Company's operations/ business
* Manage and implement proper credit control procedures and bad debt recovery
* To review and improve the Department's operation/ business
* To undertake any other duties as may be assigned

The Requirements:

* Relevant qualifications n general insurance (minimum CGI & HI)
* Sound knowledge of General Insurance
* Management Skills
* Demonstrates a strong business acumen
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Leadership with burning - drive for results
* Strong marketing and portfolio management
* Minimum 5-year experience in General Insurance Industry
