Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is a leading player in the oil and gas space globally and they are looking for an Assistant Accountant who will play a pivotal role in supporting their General Ledger team with a primary focus on Treasury, General Ledger, and Tax functions.

The Responsibilities:

Treasury

* Collaborate in weekly payment runs and accurate posting of payments
* Create beneficiary preformats for bank accounts
* Assist in bank Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures
* Maintain daily updates of bank balances and produce bank balance reports

General Ledger & Tax

* Verify and accurately post invoices into our ERP system
* Post staff expense claims into the ERP system
* Aid in the preparation of monthly balance sheet schedules
* Conduct thorough bank reconciliations
* Assist in compiling Singapore GST data
* Flexibility to support the General Ledger team with ad-hoc tasks as needed

The Requirements:

* Diploma or higher in Accountancy or equivalent
* LCCI intermediate level or higher preferred
* 5-8 years of Accounting experience is a plus
* Proficiency in MS Office Excel
* Proven experience with General Ledger accounting in a high-volume setting
* Meticulous attention to detail and consistently high accuracy in your work
* Self-motivated, positive attitude, and a strong team player
