Job Description

Our Client:

An excellent opportunity to join our client who is a multi-national company in the R&D (Engineering) industry. Company is currently looking to hire a HR Manager to take on a pivotal role individual contributor role in Singapore.

The Responsibilities:

Part of a team of 2, this role is based in Singapore and you will play a pivotal role in managing full spectrum of HR scope and act as a business partner to business leaders by providing a highly professional and efficient service of support to all stakeholders in line with current employment labour legislation & regulations, equal employment opportunity and best practice.

This is a replacement headcount and you will be taking care of 50 employees in Singapore's office.

As an experienced HR Generalist, you will be the go-to person and support on effective delivery of HR operations and activities to our business units, including recruitment, performance management, learning & development, staff engagement and other HR duties and projects as assigned.

* Handle full spectrum of recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, training and employee development and budget management
* Administration of compensation and benefits changes associated with merit increases, promotions, transfers, terminations, and leaves of absence
* Review of HR policies and procedures and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures in line with business needs and in accordance with local labour legislation
* Ensure company compliance with local laws related to employee benefits, compensation, employment and training
* Oversee performance management and improvement process.
* Oversee and recommendation of career development and career growth of employees.
* Deliver on-boarding program for new hires as well as conduct exit interviews with departing staff
* Identify, develop and implement training & development programs to improve competencies & effectiveness of all employees
* Guide managers and supervisors in appropriate and fair human resource practices.
* Administration of company benefit and insurance schemes including periodic reviews and updates as well as liaison with insurance brokers relating to medical insurance
* Maintain an effective level of business literacy including corporate goals, financial position, strategy, competition, technology and culture (Having business operations knowledge, understanding and contributing to strategic planning, ability to read & understand financial reports, staying up-to-date on the business market (for recruiting, compensation, benefits, etc.), and understanding current technology (HRIS/payroll systems capabilities)
* Look into the enhancement of existing welfare programs & employee relation activities to enhance the relationship between management and staff
* Research and recommend pay structures and annual pay revision

The Requirements:

* Degree in Human Resources or related field
* At least 8-10 years' experience in Generalist focus work, in a small-sized MNC setup
* Passion for human resources, strong perceptive abilities, and the ability to foster positive relationships
* With maturity to be sensitive when dealing with confidential information
* Strong communication skills who can deliver ideas and look through strategic lenses, and is someone innovative and solutions-driven
* Ambitious, pays attention to details and is a great team player
* Independent, quick-learner and possesses strong sense of responsibility
* Strong proficiency in MS Excel (i.e. Advanced)
