Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is a US-listed company specialised in biological research equipment. They are actively looking for a GL Lead to support their Global Shared Services team in Singapore.

The Responsibilities:

* Preparing/Reviewing appropriate ledger entries and maintaining the general ledger system, including Fixed Assets Accounting
* Perform and ensure that month-end/year-end closings are completed timely and accurately
* Assist in ensuring that statutory accounts and tax returns are submitted on an accurate and timely basis
* Maintain Sarbanes Oxley compliance for financial reporting
* Maintain compliance with various data protection acts when sharing information around the world
* Managing/Supervising the day-to-day activities of the Team Members
* Preparation/Review of accounts reconciliations and monthly reports
* Assist in ongoing and upcoming systems projects
* Liaising with different stakeholders and outsourced vendors
* Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor

The Requirements:

* Minimum Degree in Accounting
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
* Experience in Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems in the finance application area
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Ability to lead projects and analyze and resolve problems
* Ability to lead a team independently
* Good oral and communication skills in English to communicate effectively with English-speaking stakeholders
* Ability to read in Chinese language to liaise with native Mandarin-speaking counterparts
