Job Description

Our Client:
We are working with a global trader and supplier of marine fuels (bunkering), transportation of petroleum products (freighting) and owner of tankers. They have a strong presence in the Asia-Pacific region, being able to provide a comprehensive range of products and services in marine fuel, regional shipping, ship chartering, ship-management and (ship to ship) cargo transfer operations to ship owners and operators.

About the Role:
As a Technical Superintendent, you will maintain vessels to the requirement of Classification Society, Flag state, Port State, Oil majors and state regulations that the vessels are plying. You will also liaise with Terminal Representative, Charterers, Agents, Operators and the Fujairah Freezone Official.

The Responsibilities:

* Maintain vessels in accordance with the requirements of Classification Society, Flag State, Port State, Oil majors, and state regulations
* Implement and ensure compliance with the planned maintenance system
* Approve and oversee repairs, prepare purchase orders and works orders
* Prepare specifications for dry-docking/repairs and monitor the progress of work
* Manage the allocated budget for the vessel and meet operational standards set by Owners
* Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and prepare closing reports
* Attend inspections by Class Society, Flag State, Port State, Underwriters, and Oil majors
* Coordinate with Terminal Representatives, Charterers, Agents, Operators, and Fujairah Freezone Officials
* Serve as the primary contact for vessel matters at the Fujairah branch office
* Assist the Crew Department in coordinating crew matters

The Requirements:

* Hold COC Class 1 or 2 with sailing experience on product tankers
* Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of shore-based experience as a Technical Superintendent in tanker companies
* Willingness to travel abroad (Fujairah) on a rotational basis
* Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English to be able to liaise effectively with English-speaking stakeholders
* Familiarity with Oil majors' vetting and inspection requirements
* Analytical, independent, results-oriented, resourceful, and proactive
