Job Description

Our Client:

Our client is an MNC that offers planning and layout designing, structured cabling, power cycling, wiring, hardware replacement, infrastructure and circuit testing, and media loading and swapping services.

The Responsibilities:

* Responsible for managing and leading multiple teams and multiple sites supporting all hardware platforms (open compute, storage, mainframe, firewalls, network) and associated cabling systems
* Responsible for ensuring all data centre activities are performed without impact to the services with 100% availability and reliability following Global Data Centre Standards, Incident and Change Management Process within ITIL framework
* Responsible for owning and meeting Service Level Agreements with internal and external partners regarding uptime, availability, reliability, and cost efficiency
* Work closely with Global Data centre Operations/Engineering leads and Sourcing Partners for Global Strategic & Tactical planning to support business growth by developing RFPs, review/ evaluate proposals, perform site assessments, design & implementation of operational sustainability, financial planning, resource management of build and IT deployment
* Work with cross functional teams to define and execute on Data Centre Infrastructure Support Strategies and communication across the teams
* Work with executive management to develop and instil best practices and performance goals and strategy relating to Data Centre Operations, Safety, Security, Availability, Scalability and Efficiency
* Work with financial business partners to forecast budget and track spending to ensure financial targets are met
* Provide managerial leadership to a team of Data Centre Engineering. Managing career management, goals, processes, and development aligning with Visa Performance Management
* Proactively share resources and information and provide support to team members to achieve work objectives
* Represent Design Engineering in customer-facing meetings including technical reviews, workshops, design presentations, and SOW reviews
* Lead/ Support internal as well as external Data Centre Audit and compliance activities
* Participate and perform governance related policies, procedures, key controls, etc.

The Requirements:

* Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline or engineering management from an accredited university or college, required
* 10+ years of experience in a management role required
* 15+ years of experience is highly preferrable
* Data Center experience is required
* Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) design, engineering, and construction is a requirement
* Knowledgeable of various aspects of campus-level master planning, building spaces planning and areas allocation, sustainability features, and impact on site operations
* Familiar with engineering analysis tools such as ETAP, 6Sigma CFD software, AmpCalc, etc.
* Familiar with Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems such as Revit, including the process of workflow, design authoring, and model validation
* Travel required is expected to be 35 to 50% but may increase over time as the business evolves
* Excellent communication skills to effectively work with present information to executive management, operations, sales engineering, and finance
