Job Description

Our Client:
RGF represents a diversified multinational financial group active around the world in leasing, financing, private equity investment, asset management, renewable energy investment and operations and more.
They are actively looking to hire a Compliance Officer to join their team in Singapore.

The Responsibilities:

* Manage the compliance function and report to Company MD and also to Global General Counsel Office in Japan head office
* Prepare and maintain compliance calendar for the function and ensure all due dates are adhered to
* Develop, review, and adhere to the written Company Compliance Program, policies, procedures and internal controls in accordance with the protocol or compliance elements provided by head office
* Review and update the inventory of applicable laws and industry regulations at least annually. In tandem, also monitor updates to relevant Laws/Regulations/Guidelines to perform gap analysis for company policies and procedures
* Prepare new policies, review and update/amend existing policies
* On-going monitoring of all policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure they are functioning properly and complied with
* Prepare and conduct periodic Compliance Risk Assessment and identify high risk areas to be prioritized based on the results
* For any new lines of business/expansion into a new jurisdiction, assess associated compliance risks, develop a risk mitigation plan, and incorporate action plan into the Compliance Program
* Obtain information about AML, Anti-bribery/Corruption covering FCPA and other bribery and corruption topics and conduct briefing for all directors and employees
* Periodic reporting (include update on compliance program, action plan, litigation and other requested items) to Global Compliance Team
* Liaise with head office about training requirement relating to compliance and IT security
* Ensure staff compliance awareness. Prepare training notes for the staff and conduct training/briefing - current staff strength is 10
* Discuss with Investment Team/SHIP department or other departments on feasibility of policies/procedures
* Advise Investment Team/SHIP department on AML steps required in policy and review the checklist and supporting documents
* Perform assessment on Third Party agent/outsource companies by reviewing contracts/request and review questionnaires and supporting documents
* Perform World-Check One screening on third party agent/outsourcing companies
* Understand PDPA and act as Personal Data Protection Officer and brief understanding of GDPR (GDPR is optional)
* Conduct periodic SOX audit, report to head office, propose and implement the required remedial plan
* Other duties and ad hoc assignments assigned by the Company

The Requirements:

* Relevant Degree
* Experience in similar role is preferable
* 3-5 years' work experience is required
* Able to work independently as well as a team player
* Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people, demonstrating team spirit, accountability and integrity
