Naval Architect/Structural Engineer (Marine & Offshore)
Overview:
We have partnered with a well establish MNC in the Marine & Offshore industry and at the moment they are on the lookout for an experience Naval Architect/Structural Engineer to join their Engineering team in Singapore.
The Naval Architect/Structural Engineer manages the end-to-end daily technical aspect; provide input on drawings, reviewing of drawings, provide recommendation/advice, perform structural assessment and coordinating within internal team.
The Description:
* Report to, and provide support to the Lead Structural Engineer on assigned projects and report to the Head
* Review drawings ofmarine and offshore structures for compliance with Classification and Statutory requirements for meeting applicable Rules/Regulations/Codes (e.g. Class Rules, SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO MODU CODE, API etc.).
* Perform structural strength/fatigue assessment using Finite Element Analysis.
* Perform stability analysis using software common in the marine industry such as GHS or NAPA.
The Requirements:
* Have at least a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering or Structural Engineering.
* Preferably have more than 2-5 years' experience with shipyards, engineering consultants or design offices. Fresh graduates with high potential will also be considered.
* Be a self-starter and committed team player with good interpersonal skills and an analytical mind.
* Have an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment.
