Assistant Finance Manager

Job Description

Our Client:
Our client are food travel experts. So, what does that mean? They are experts in creating and running food outlets in locations where people are on the move. Whether it's jetting off somewhere more exotic, getting on a train or stopping off at a motorway service area, they will make sure the food and drink on offer is the ideal selection to meet the needs of the many different types of travellers. They are actively looking to hire an Assistant Finance Manager to join them.

The Responsibilities:

* Responsible for timely and accurate production of all financial and statutory accounting & reporting
* Oversee day to day finance functions for Singapore team
* Prepare full set of accounts, auditing, tax compliance and supporting schedules
* Liaise with auditors, tax agents and any other government statutory boards
* Drive completion of financial statements & tax report timely and ensure legal compliance
* Work with Head of Finance and the Singapore Business Units to develop annual budget and forecast
* Assist in the Head of Finance in business partnering with line managers to formulate financial and strategic plan, provide input through business cases analysis where applicable
* Provide on-the-ground insights on Singapore functions to ensure activities for projects are planned, organized, and supported according to available capacity and budget allocations
* Ensure timely preparation of monthly financial and management reporting for Singapore
* Lead system implementation project locally on inventory checks and management, to be aligned internationally
* Liaise, collaborate, and work with international Finance Team on required reports, analysis, projects, etc.
* Any other duties that may be delegated by the Management

The Requirements:

* Degree in Accounting or equivalent with 5 years' relevant experience
* At least 5 years of experience managing full sets of accounts including corporate tax, cashflow management, audit, and GST
* Strong experience and knowledge in accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashflow and fund transfer
* Prior working experience in Retail / F&B is a bonus
* Experienced in working with accounting system (Navision but not a must), or with system implementation project experience
