Job Title: Sales Manager (Marine Satellite Communications)
Our Client: Our client excels in providing comprehensive marine and offshore energy solutions Their offerings include end-to-end services such as turnkey project systems, front-end engineering design (FEED) consultancy, project management, and installation and commissioning. They also integrate advanced IoT and ICT network infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency and connectivity. Additionally, the company is expanding into renewable energy by equipping vessels operating in offshore wind farms with cutting-edge communication equipment, showcasing their commitment to supporting sustainable energy transitions in the maritime industry
Reporting to the Sales Director of the Maritime Connectivity Solution Team, the Sales Manager is tasked with driving sales. This role involves crafting and implementing sales strategies, collaborating with the sales team, fostering relationships with partners, assessing market trends, and managing sales budgets and forecasts.
The Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement Business Development Plans and Sales Strategies for the Satellite Subscriptions (Airtime) Team, ensuring alignment with Business Unit's objectives to drive profitability and revenue growth
* Engage with identified customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
* Prepare and present quotations and commercial proposals to follow up on sales matters
* Collaborate with the Product Manager to create high-quality proposals that meet customers' requirements
* Provide pre-sales assistance and after-sales support to customers
* Execute business plans aligned with corporate goals to achieve sales performance targets
* Work closely with the Technical Manager to ensure efficient sales and delivery of systems and services
* Coordinate with the Network Support team on customer inquiries and maintain relationships with existing customers
The Requirements:
* Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication or Electrical Engineering
* 4-8 years of relevant experience with a proven sales track record
* Strong sales network in the marine industry and knowledge of Maritime Satellite services is advantageous
* Experience as an Ex-Radio Officer is a plus
* Good customer contacts with ship managers/owners are beneficial
* Excellent business acumen, communication, and presentation skills
