Job Title: Vessel Resource Manager

Our Client: Our client is a global leader in the marine site characterization industry, specializing in geophysical survey, geotechnical site investigation, and coastal resilience. They provide cutting-edge solutions and services across the Asia Pacific region, ensuring high standards of quality and reliability in every project.

The Vessel Resource Manager will oversee the operational and technical management of offshore vessels, ensuring efficient mobilizations and adherence to industry standards. This role requires extensive experience in vessel operations, budget preparation, and team leadership within the marine industry.

The Responsibilities:

Vessel Operations Management:

* Oversee the operational and technical needs of owned and 3rd party chartered vessels, ensuring compliance with ASOG and MOPO standards
* Travel to oversee vessel operations and support project needs

Mobilisation & Demobilisation:

* Plan and execute all vessel mobilisations and demobilisations, including pre and post-hire surveys, with a focus on budget adherence and timely completion

Technical Vetting:

* Manage 3rd party vessel chartering aspects, including OVID/CMID inspections, to ensure vessel suitability and equipment reliability for projects

Team Leadership:

* Supervise operations personnel (Ops Supt, Asst. Ops Supt, Drafters) and coordinate with various internal stakeholders to ensure efficient day-to-day vessel operations and equipment resource management

Procurement & Legal Coordination:

* Liaise with the procurement department for vessel sourcing and collaborate with the in-house legal team during vessel chartering discussions

The Requirements:

* Education: HND or Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture
* Experience: 8-15 years in managing offshore vessel operations, with at least 3-8 years of management experience, including mobilizations and demobilizations
* Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including hydraulics, with a proven background in BIMCO charter party agreements
* Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage teams, with strong communication skills in English, and the ability to work with diverse, multidisciplinary teams
* Additional Knowledge: High-level understanding of geophysical survey and/or seabed light-geotechnical site investigation and related technical equipment is desirable
